A good visitor can be an important part of the health team. Most people are good visitors because their positive attitudes help the patient and they use their visiting privilege with concern and thoughtfulness. However, visitors (even the best ones) can create noise, unrest, congestion, and confusion, plus bring in dust, dirt and germs. For these reasons, hospitals such as ours have rules about such things as noise, visiting hours, child visitors, Health and Safety policies, etcetera to ensure the best possible care and service to all our patients.
