Bingham Memorial Hospital is one of the Northeastern Ontario
Regional Cancer Center (NEORCC) satellite chemotherapy sites.
Two qualified oncology nurses administer chemotherapy locally, reducing
the need for travel for local cancer patients.
The hospital also utilizes CADD Pumps to enhance the availability of
local cancer care. This new administration technique allows for a
continuous infusion of chemotherapy agent via a pump for a prescribed number of
days as ordered by an Oncologist.
