Emergency

The Emergency Department is intended to meet severe medical needs that require immediate care of a physician and hospital services. The department is open 24 hours daily to meet these needs.

Emergency cases will receive immediate attention.

Treatment for urgent cases will commence within 1 hour of presentation to the department. If we cannot meet this standard, we will advise you accordingly.

Deferrable cases are those which should be seen by a physician in the Medical Clinic. You will be advised as to when you can be seen. You may be asked to return later.

The hospital also operates an ambulance service, with two Ministry of Health & Long-Term Care vehicles based at the facility.
