The Housekeeping Aide plays an essential role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors and reports to the Support Services Supervisor.
Key duties include cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, common areas, and clinical spaces; operating housekeeping equipment; and maintaining infection control standards. The role also involves assisting with emergencies, participating in safety programs, and contributing to a culture of quality and teamwork.

Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- WHMIS certification (current and maintained)
- Ministry of Labour Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training Certificate
- Knowledge of infection control principles
- Experience in institutional housekeeping considered an asset
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment safely and effectively
- Good attendance record and adherence to confidentiality requirements
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
- A clear criminal record check will be required by the successful candidate as a condition of employment
Compensation
- Rate of pay: $25.63 / hour as per the SEIU collective agreement
- Paid benefits and vacation as per the SEIU collective agreement
- Eligibility to enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
