The Dietary Aide supports the delivery of safe, nutritious meals for patients, residents, staff, and visitors across the MICs Group of Health Services. Working under the direction of the Support Services Supervisor or Program Leader, the Dietary Aide plays an important role in meal preparation, food service, sanitation, and infection control.
This position involves assisting with special diet requirements, meal tray assembly, food delivery, dishwashing, and general kitchen duties in accordance with safe food handling standards. The Dietary Aide is also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment, adhering to infection prevention protocols, and promoting a culture of safety for all.

Qualifications
- Grade 12 diploma
- Minimum 1 year experience in institutional, healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality setting
- Food Handler Training Certificate (Ministry-endorsed provider)
- Ministry of Labour Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training Certificate
- Able to work a flexible schedule within a 7-day/week operation
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
- A clear criminal record check will be required by the successful candidate as a condition of employment
Compensation
- Rate of pay: $25.63 / hour as per the SEIU collective agreement
- Paid benefits and vacation as per the SEIU collective agreement
- Enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
