MAINTENANCE
(FULL-Time)
Lady Minto Hospital
Cochrane, ON
This full-time, union position reports to the Director of Building Services and is responsible to install, maintain and repair Mechanical/Controls, equipment and systems, perform General Maintenance, and participate in the department’s on-call schedule.
Qualifications / Skills:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Trade certificate of qualification from Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities would be considered an asset
- Plumbing certification will be considered an asset
- Proven ability to install, maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing equipment and systems, building controls
- Knowledge of general and preventative maintenance
- Knowledge of HVAC, previous HVAC, building automation systems, and/or facility maintenance experience is required
- Must be able to respond to, and resolve emergency situations exercising good judgment
- May be required to work within other MICs facilities from time to time
- Willingness to share the department’s on-call schedule
- Valid Driver’s License
- Access to reliable transportation
- A satisfactory criminal record check will be required by the successful candidate as a condition of employment
