The MICs Group of Health Services is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner with an interest in Geriatrics in a Long-Term Care setting to provide services at South Centennial Manor – a 69-bed Long-Term Care facility located in Iroquois Falls and Rosedale Centre – a 20-bed ELDCAP unit in Bingham Memorial Hospital located in Matheson. The LTC NP is a union position, accountable to the Executive Lead of Long-Term Care (LTC).
The NP will provide services to LTC residents, their family/caregivers and the health care team. As the most responsible provider, the NP will help increase access to, and quality of, primary health care by providing proactive screening and assessment, timely specialist referrals, follow-up care, ongoing chronic disease management, end of life care. He/she will work within his/her legislative scope of practice as described and outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
