Why diabetes education?

At least 8.8% of people in Northern Ontario have diabetes. Despite this number, individuals may feel isolated and overwhelmed in dealing with diabetes. A well-structured Diabetes Education Program has been proven to help people cope with diabetes and prevent complications.

Who can participate?
  • People who have either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
  • Their family members
  • Anyone who has an interest in diabetes
