Chemotherapy services are sponsored by the Regional Northeast Cancer Centre and are available at Lady Minto Hospital only. The patient's treatment regimen is determined by an oncologist and performed by a nurse, under the supervision of a physician, who has undergone the required training at the Lady Minto Hospital. This greatly reduces the need to travel to Sudbury or other satellite sites.
