South Centennial Manor Redevelopment Update The construction tender process closed on December 12, 2024, with only two submissions. Unfortunately, both bids exceeded the Class A estimate by 43% ($45 million budget), which was not unexpected given rising construction costs and limited labour availability. To address this, our architects issued a post-addendum tender for “value engineering,” requesting the two contractors to identify potential cost savings. These post tenders returned on February 14, 2025, with some significant reductions; however, the total cost remains approximately 40% over budget. South Centennial Manor Redevelopment Project Update

The South Centennial Manor (SCM) Redevelopment Project has been and continues to be a focus project for MICs Group of Health Services and its Foundation.We have reached several milestones in this project such as having the design plans and owner sign off submitted as well as the production of architectural drawings. The 90% working drawings have been submitted to the Ministry for review. We are now waiting for their approval and to receive a development agreement before going to tender for construction. Respiratory Outbreak at Villa Minto, Lady Minto Hospital

Villa Minto is currently experiencing a respiratory outbreak. To help protect our patients, staff, and visitors, masking is required in Emergency Departments, patient care areas, or when receiving treatment (e.g., ultrasound or lab) in acute care facilities with enhanced measures in place. 😷
