MICs Group of Health Services Among Northeastern Ontario Hospitals Going Digital

Iroquois Falls, ON (May 3, 2024) – The electronic medical records of MICs Group of Health Services patients will soon be available to authorized clinicians at 23 partner hospitals throughout Northeastern Ontario, announced Paul Chatelain, CEO, MICs Group of Health Services. South Centennial Manor Redevelopment Project Update

The South Centennial Manor (SCM) Redevelopment Project has been and continues to be a focus project for MICs Group of Health Services and its Foundation.We have reached several milestones in this project such as having the design plans and owner sign off submitted as well as the production of architectural drawings. The 90% working drawings have been submitted to the Ministry for review. We are now waiting for their approval and to receive a development agreement before going to tender for construction. SCM Redevelopment Project

  The South Centennial Manor (SCM) Redevelopment Project has been and continues to be a focus project for MICs Healthcare Foundation.  Over the years, we have received donations, grants and ran several successful fundraisers thanks to the amazing volunteers, committee members, staff and supporting community members.  We continue to move forward on the planning of the project, as recommended by the minister of Long Term Care (August21, 2023, AMO conference delegation). LADY MINTO HOSPITAL Cochrane Lady Minto Hospital Welcomes Dr. Jesse Fontaine Lady Minto Hospital is thrilled to welcome Dr. Jesse Fontaine to the Emergency Department On-Call Team, who officially joined the roster in August.  Dr. Fontaine earned his medical degree from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and did two of his residency electives at Lady Minto Hospital under the  preceptorship of GP/Anesthetist Dr. Joey Tremblay (Lady Minto Hospital ED Lead, and MICs Chief of Staff). Long-Term Care News

Attention Long-Term Care Visitors Effective March 31, 2023, South Centennial Manor, Villa Minto and Rosedale Centre will have the following measures in place for all visitors: Asymptomatic testing will no longer be required, however, free rapid tests will be available for visitors until June 2023 for those who wish to continue testing at home prior to entry. Visitors experiencing infectious symptoms are not to visit the home.  If you are not feeling well, please postpone your visit.
